Sugar Bush Maple Syrup Festival! March 6-8 2010

Location: Bruce's Mill Conservation & the Kortwright Centre

This festival has been going on for years. I can remember bringing my kids to Buce's Mill umpteen years ago.
This annual festival includes live demonstrations, wagon rides, pancakes and more. Special events are planne during March Break and Easter. The Maple Syrup Dinner takes place on March 27 at 6 p.m. Guests can dine on a maple syrup-themed dinner by lamplight to celebrate Earth Hour, which coincides with the dinner date. Earth Hour is an international event designed to raise awareness about global warming, by encouraging people to turn off their lights from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. on March 27.

National Home Show is back! February 19 to February 29!

New mortgage rules!

Changes have been made regarding the rules for securing a mortgage. Please read the article, courtesy of the Toronto Star, to find out more.

Don Victoria softball League!

Get the whole family out of the house this summer and have some fun!

Registration is on now! There are two in-person registration dates coming up: February 28, 2010 and March 7, 2010. Both registrations will be held at the Broadlands Community Centre from 12pm-4pm. This year they have added a new division for ages 7-9 years old. T-Ball will be 4-6 years old and the boys or girls youth divisions are ages 10-15. They also have adult slow pitch!
