Christmas tree season is here!

Yahoo! This is my favourite time of year. My tree has been up all week and I want to share with you the top places to go to get your tree (courtesy of Toronto.com) this holiday season. Visit Toronto.com and find the best one for you and your family.  We are partial to Taylor's Tree Farm because it has hay rides, a large bon fire to keep warm and the people there are very friendly!

The skating rinks are open!

Outdoor skating rinks are open in Toronto! This is great news and I am happy to see so many have opened early this year.  To see which rinks are open visit the City of Toronto.

This has to be my absolute favourite time of year! The One Of A Kind Show is back! The show features hand crafted jewelry, art, food, demonstrations and so much more. The One Of A Kind Show is a must see. The Show runs from November 27 to December 7. Check their website for times and ticket prices.

Gourmet Food & Wine Expo

This sound too good to miss! Why not enjoy something nice in this cold winter weather? The Food & Wine Expo will allow you to sample food, wines, beers and spirits from around the globe. The Expo runs from November 20 to 23, Thursday 6-10 pm (VIP), Friday 2-10 pm, Saturday noon-10 pm & Sunday noon-6 pm. $20-$45 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre North Bldg 255 Front W.

Music on the Donway

Great local event in Don Mills! Music On The Donway presents Adore Him, A Soli Deo Gloria Ballet Production.  Come out and be dazzled as we kick off the Advent Season with an evening of music, dance and spoken word.  These artists from the Niagara region perform coast to coast “refreshing the heart, soul, and mind” of their audiences, on Saturday November 29 at 7:30 pm, at the Donway Covenant United Church, 230 The Donway West.  Tickets: $20/Adults, $12/Students, Children 12 and under FREE, available at 416-444-8444/church office, or at the door the evening of the concert.

Children's sparkling workshops

Children's sparkling workshops is about children creating their own holiday ornaments from 10 am-noon. Tickets are $20 and we ask that you pre-register by calling 905-752-0498 ext 3346. The Children's sparkling workshop runs November 22, November 29 and December 6 at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. Fun for the whole family!

Hockey Hall of Fame induction weekend

This sounds like fun and you can see appearances by NHLers, fan forums, autographed giveaways and more honouring the class of 2014. The Induction Weekend runs November 14 to 17 and tickets are $14-$18 at 30 Yonge inside the Hockey Hall of Fame which is an amazingly fun place for the whole family! Inspire! Toronto International Book Fair

This looks like fun. The Toronto International Book Fair will have readings, talks, storytelling, workshops, musical performances and more with Margaret Atwood, Jeff Kinney, Anne Rice, Jim Gaffigan and 400 other Canadian and international authors. Bead & Jewelry Fair

This looks like a lot of fun and possibly a place where you can get some early holiday shopping done! The Bead & Jewelry Fair will have demos, classes, handmade jewellery, beads from around the world and more. The Fair runs from Nov 8 to 9 at the Toronto Reference Library 789 Yonge, Toronto, Ontario M4W 2G8. Tickets are $7 or $5 in advance.

Remembrance Day

Tomorrow is a day to always remember, to appreciate, to reflect and to give thanks to all those, past & present who have served our country. There will be a Remembrance Day ceremony right here at the Shops at Don Mills in town square.  November 11. Lest we forget.

Royal Agricultural Winter Fair

If you have never been to the Agricultural Winter Fair then you haven't seen a fair! This Fair will have livestock, barns, horse shows, animal theatre, agricultural competitions, a petting farm and more. Tickets are $16-$24 and kids under 3 are free at the Ricoh Coliseum, Exhibition Place. Babytime Show

The Babytime Show is here! I love looking at all the new goodies kids these days! There will be seminars on everything from sleeping to eating, vendors, Toddler Time Stage with Barney and more.
