Christmas at Kortright

Christmas At Kortright will have horse-drawn wagon rides, Santa's workshop, treats and more. This family fun time runs from December 6-7, December 13-14 and December 20-21 free with admission. Kortright Centre For Conservation is at Pine Valley and Major Mackenzie (Kleinburg). Christmas Tree's in Toronto

I just loved this article from Toronto.com about where one can buy their Christmas tree in Toronto (see below). We used to go out Taylor's tree farm and loved the tractor rides and hot chocolate. Dress warmly and bring cash for the tree. They can run up to $75 or more depending on the species.

If you’re looking to buy a real tree without making the trek to cut it down yourself, try St. Lawrence Market, East End Garden Centre, Evergreen Brick Works or ordering online through EZ Tree. There are of course trees for sale at stores like Loblaws or Ikea, but the freshest options will always be at a tree farm.

Toronto Christmas Market

This sounds wonderful and I'm sure it be fabulous! The Toronto Christmas Market is a European-inspired festival with musical performances, family activities, handcrafted products, food and more. One of a Kind Christmas Show & Sale

This is one of my favorite events and I'm sure everyone in the family will love it. There is always tons to see! One Of A Kind Christmas Show & Sale features handmade gifts from more than 800 Canadian artisans. The show runs from November 28 to December 8 (weekdays and Saturday 10 am-9 pm, Thursday 10 am-11 pm, Sunday 10 am-6 pm). Sad to see you go

I loved shopping at Ko's in the original Don Mills indoor mall and at the new Shops at Don Mills.  It's been a part of the area for a long, long time and it will be sad to see it go. If you have a chance, please stop in before it closes.

All Aboard!

How cool is this?!?! The Shops at Don Mills train is still chugging through the holidays! My grandson will be so happy! Tickets will be sold at Guest Services for $3  per person per ride with net proceeds to the Toronto Fire Fighters' Toy Drive! Fun and a great cause!  Dates & Times are weather permitting. Check with Guest Services for details.

Wow this is a great show for the whole family! The Seasons Christmas Show  features holiday decor, fashion, food, celebrity appearances and more. the show runs from November 22, 10 am-8 pm; November 23, 10 am-6 pm; November 24, 10 am-5 pm. $15, student/seniors $12, kids free at the International Centre, 6900 Airport (Mississauga). Veggielicious!

I love my veggies and was excited to hear that Veggielicious takes place for the next two weeks. It's a celebration of gourmet vegetarian cuisine with prix-fixe menus at restaurants and bakeries throughout the city. For location visit veggielicious.caveggielicious.ca. Gourmet Food & Wine Expo

The best of both worlds in my opinion! The Gourmet Food & Wine Expo allows you to sample food, wines, beers and spirits from around the globe. The expo runs from November 14, 6 pm; November 15, 2-10 pm; November 16 noon-10 pm; November 17 noon-6 pm. Tickets are different depending on the day you go. Music on the Donway

It's that time of year again! Music On The Donway 2013-2014 Season presents a very special pre-Christmas concert ‘A Charles Dickens’ Klezmas Carol’, with the joyous music of the Klezmas Band as they perform Christmas carol renditions and narrate the famous Charles Dickens’“Christmas Carol” story, featuring Sharon Smith: vocals, Daniel Rubinoff: woodwinds, Garry Page: brass, Jordan Klapman: piano and Arti Roth: bass, on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 7:30 p.m., at the Donway Covenant United Church, 230 The Donway West (Lawrence Ave. and Don Mills Road), Don Mills. Okay Moms to be this show is a must! The Baby Time Show offers pregnancy and parenting seminars with author Michael Lester and others, kids' entertainment, gear and more! Royal Agricultural Winter Fair

It's that time of year! The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair everything for everyone including livestock, barns, horse shows, animal theatre, agricultural competitions, a petting farm and more!
