Rogers Cup Tennis

Tennis is huge in the Millar family. How nice is this? August 2 to 3 you can watch the Rogers Cup for free at the Rexall Centre at York University. The Rogers Cup is on August 1 to the 10th and tickets are $20.  The Rogers Cup is where you can watch tennis pros from the men's & women's tour compete for the championship. Ward's Island Fire Parade

This sounds very interesting and maybe even a little scary! The Ward's Island Fire Parade is a celebration of light and dark in the unique Toronto Island landscape featuring a community parade with puppets and lanterns accompanied by stilt performers and a live band. It begins Friday August 1 at 8:30 pm. Toronto's Festival of Beer

There seems to be a festival for everyone this weekend! Not only is this the Toronto's Festival of Beer but there will also be music by The Planet Smashers, The Trews, Julian Taylor Band, Wide Mouth Mason and Matthew Good, a brewmaster series, tours, a grilling tent and more. Taste of Toronto Festival

This sounds like a lot of fun! The Taste of Toronto Festival features world-class chefs, artisan stalls, cookery masterclasses, live music and more at this foodie festival. Thrill of the Grill

The Thrill Of The Grill (Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook) is here on July 19! Six Danforth-area chefs compete to see whose barbecue ribs reign supreme. With celebrity chef Lynn Crawford and HGTV's Tommy Smythe from Noon-4 pm. Tickets are $15 and the event is at Danforth from Broadview to Jackman (street closed to traffic).
