Staying local this holiday season? Check out Christmas in the Valley. Experience the holiday traditions of the 1890s and the 1940s through sampling historic recipes, making take-home crafts and an outdoor tour of the Wildflower Preserve. Christmas in the Valley runs from now until Dec 31, Sat-Tue noon-4 pm, Wed 10 am-2 pm. $2-$6.
Someone had posted this on Facebook and it shocked me. I can't believe how much sugar is in some of the beveridges we drink! Did you know this? Something needs to be done to reduce the sugar in everything we eat and drink for us, our children and our children's children.
This weekend stop by the Shops at Don Mills between 11 am and 4 pm this Saturday and Sunday and look for the strolling Santa. The whole family will have a blast!

This Thursday, December 4 come out and join us at the annual tree lighting and toy drive (in support of the Toronto Fire Fighters) at the Shops at Don Mills. The event runs from 5:00pm to 8:00pm in the Town Square. Happy Holidays!
There are over 17,000 families this year needing some sort of food bank. There is of course the Daily Bread Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank and here in our area the Community Share Food Bank among others. Please give where you can and when you can. Let's make it a happy holiday season for all and let's end hunger!
