Canada Day Event at Yonge-Dundas Square

This sounds like a lot of fun! Show your Canadian pride and join a formation to create a human flag in the square and check out cultural performances curated by the Canada Folk Art Council of Toronto. 3-5 pm July 1 and it's free Yonge-Dundas Square 1 Dundas E, Toronto!

Sandcastle building competiton

Great fun for the whole family! The Beaches Lodge presents the 10th annual castle-building contest, with the award presentation for best design at 3 pm June 26 (starts at 9 am). Teams of any size can show up as early as sunrise to start building. Just east of the Woodbine Bathing Station, adjacent to the Boardwalk. Free!

Global Village Festival

This sounds fun. The Global Village Festival is a huge multicultural festival with food, music, dance, kids' activities and more. Performers include Nepali Children's Dance, Lunar Solace, Ensemble Topaz, G-Bolo, Yukiko Tsutsui and others plus magicians, clowns, stilt walkers, Chinese Lion Dance, a book fair and more.
