The Toronto International Busketfest is a festival of music, dance and European street theatre features comedians, contortionists, fire jugglers, musicians, acrobats, clowns, daredevils, street food and more.
The new Be A Busker Zone is an interactive area for kids to get some hands-on experience in a few of the many arts that buskers perform. There will also be games, face painting and other kids' activities.
Performers include new acts Ace-K from Japan, Cirque No Problem from Israel, Dr Bubblitofrom Mexico, returning acts The Budapest Marionettes, Pancho Libre and Throw 2 Catch, and local acts The Silver Starlets, Fireguy and many more.

Well this is the first I'm hearing of this! I think this would be a fab event to attend! This annual festival celebrates all things coconut in your food, cosmetics, cleaning and clothing items. Learn from a variety of wellness speakers and enjoy entertainment including children's games, coconut bowling, hula hoop contests, yoga, eco fashion show, cultural dance performers and more. Partial proceeds from donations and sales of fresh coconuts will go to build a library in an orphanage partner in the Philippines. Delicious! Pan American Food Festival celebrats the cuisine and culture of North, South, Central America and the Caribbean. Live music by Fito Blanko (Saturday August 13 9:30 pm) and Chantel Collado (Sunday August 14 7 pm), Carnaval of Bolivia dancers, ceviche competition and more. Sadly, the Hips final tour is coming to and end. They will be playing their last show in Kingston Ontario on August 20 at 8:30 pm. Tickets all sold out without minutes but The Hip graciously opened up their final show to all Torontonians and Canadians via television and radio! Can you believe it? Amazing right??? CNE Bandshell:
The concert will be shown at the Canadian National Exhibition’s Bandshell stage at 8:30 p.m., immediately following a concert by Jefferson Starship that begins at 5 p.m. Free with admission to the CNE grounds.
Carlton Cinema, 20 Carlton St., at Yonge St.:
Carlton Cinemas will be screening a free live broadcast of the concert at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available in person at their box office and they will be accepting donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Hot Docs Cinema, 506 Bloor St. W.:
Tickets for this event are free and available at the box office. The limit is two per person though, so be warned. Members of Hot Docs can access tickets online by signing in with their membership number.
The Revue Theatre, 400 Roncesvalles Ave.:
Doors open at 7 p.m. and admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. Before the live broadcast at 8:30 p.m., there will be a Canadian music trivia contest with prizes to be won.
Sorauren Park, 289 Sorauren Ave.:
If theatres aren’t your thing, why not enjoy New Orleans from a Toronto park? Sorauren Park Town Square will be broadcasting the final show on a big outdoor screen. You’re encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and some dancing shoes.
The Horseshoe Tavern, 370 Queen St. W.:
Like a little beer with your Hip? Don’t worry, the Horseshoe Tavern has you covered. The show will be broadcast in the live room on the giant screen. The event is free but doors open at 7 p.m., so it would be wise to arrive early.
Junction City Music Hall, 2907 Dundas St. W.:
The concert will be streamed on the big screen and while there is no cover charge, they will be accepting donations with all the proceeds going toward Sunnybrook Hospital’s Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research.
