I love this. There is just something amazing about reading an actual physical book as opposed to something on your iPad. This annual event celebrates the written word and champions literacy through a book and magazine fair that features readings and author talks, a marketplace, kids' events and more. Appearances by Lisa Moore, Mona Awad, Steve Paikin, André Alexis, George Elliott Clarke, Jay Pitter, Amy Jones, Karon Liu, Ed Keenan, Kenneth Oppel, Stacey May Fowles and many others. The Word on the Street takes place September 25 from 11 am-6 pm at Harbourfront Centre 235 Queens Quay W, Toronto.

The Toronto Star featured this story over the weekend and I loved it. My favorite rule is #6:
1. You can drink white wine with steak.
2. …And red with fish and seafood.
3. Get into the sauce.
4. Add a little sparkle to your life.
5. Sweet surrender.
6. Don’t be afraid to break the rules.

Bottoms up!
