Cool new websites for plugged in travellers
I saw this great article the other day in the Toronto Star. In this internet and smart phone day and age, most travellers need answers at their fingertips. Here are a few websites to help you:
www.seatmaestro.com Before choosing your flight you can check to see if its a good seat. This comprehensive lists 184 airlines and 1,143 seat plans which is updated daily!
www.fairsandfun.com This is a good site if you are travelling in the States as it shows events, fairs and festivals in every U.S. State.
www.ricksteves.com/graffiti/archives/minority_06.htm This forum is a place where travellers can post their experiences with racism in Europe, what it looks like and how to deal with it.
www.jetsetter.com This is a user friendly site and its free! The site focuses on luxury travel deals but also offers to hold reservations for 72 hours, deep discount flash sales and a feature where you can register as standby for a hotel room.
www.getaroom.com This is yet another hotel booking site that promises the best discounted rates. It's always good to shop around and compare.
Enjoy!
